THE VISION
Securing a viable future for the Albany Symphony Orchestra as a healthy non-profit organization, which enriches the quality of life in southwest Georgia.
THE STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS 2010-2013
1. 2010 – 2011
Advancing the legacy of the Albany Symphony Orchestra by creating the
50th ANNIVERSARY LEGACY SOCIETY for the purpose of:
• enabling the Association to be in proper grant cycle
• creating a modest cash reserve for the purpose of cash flow
• replacing the Association’s bank line of credit
Improving volunteer opportunities and tapping into the resources of the community by creating a viable FRIENDS OF THE SYMPHONY support group.
Embarking upon an Endowment Study to develop a strategy and create a plan for endowing in perpetuity the positions of Music Director, Executive Director and all Principal Musicians of the Albany Symphony Orchestra.
2. 2011 – 2013
Conducting a 3-Year Endowment Campaign – allowing commitments to
be paid over three tax years – in anticipation of the Association’s 50th
Anniversary.
3. 2013 – 2014
Celebrating the 50th Anniversary Golden Season
